What is the MOQ for Oxford and outdoor waterproof fabric?

Most Oxford and coated outdoor fabric starts from around 1000 meters per colour, with lower minimums on stock-supported constructions and development runs. MOQ moves with denier, coating and finishing, so send us the build and we will confirm the minimum and lead time.

Is Oxford fabric waterproof?

Bare Oxford is not waterproof — the coating on the back is what stops water. A PU coating handles bags and light covers, PVC gives full waterproofing for tarpaulins and heavy covers, and PA offers light repellency for linings. Specify the coating separately from the denier.

What does the D number in Oxford fabric mean (210D, 420D, 600D)?

The number before the D is denier — yarn thickness. Higher denier means a heavier, tougher, more abrasion-resistant cloth. 210D suits linings and light bags, 420D backpacks, and 600D luggage, workwear and outdoor covers. We point most bag programs to 600D for the best abrasion-to-weight balance.

What is Oxford fabric?

Oxford fabric is a basketweave cloth — two or more warp yarns crossing a heavier weft — usually woven from polyester or nylon for technical use. The weave gives a fine texture, good tear resistance and a smooth face that takes waterproof coatings well, which is why it dominates bags, tents and covers.
